Cost and financing
To secure your enrolment there is an enrolment fee of NOK 15 000,-. This Enrolment Fee is non-refundable.
The Tuition Fee for the course is NOK 1 .130.000,-.
The Enrolment fee and Tuition Fee are payable in five instalments according to the following payment schedule:
• Enrolment fee upon admission
• First payment (25%) of total tuition fee payable one week after school start.
• Second payment (25%) of total tuition fee payable six months following course start.
• Third payment (25%) of total tuition fee payable 12 months following course start.
• Fourth payment (25%) of total tuition fee payable 18 months following course start or completion of Skill Test (whichever occur first).
Support from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen)
Pilot Flight Academy offers an approved vocational education that entitles Norwegian students to apply for support from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen). To ensure the recruitment of future pilots in Norway, pilot students are offered an additional loan.
Basic loan
This is intended to cover part of the tuition fee, housing and living expenses throughout the study period, amounting to approximately 333 718 NOK over the two years.
Upon successful completion of the program, 40% of this amount is converted into a grant.
Tuition fee loan
This loan is intended to cover the tuition fees you pay to us, amounting to approximately 158 864NOK over the two years.
Extra loan for commercial pilots
This is 440 768 nok per calendar year.
Total loan from Lånekassen 1 374 118 NOK
This includes the basic loan + tuition fee loan + additional loan.
NB: You can apply for support from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen) only after you have been approved for a spot with us.
The Tuition Fee payments are deposited into the Student`s accounting account and funds are withdrawn from the account in accordance with the schedule given below:
• 10% of total tuition fee one week after school start.
• 10% of total tuition fee prior to start of theoretical block 2
• 10% of total tuition fee prior to start of theoretical block 3
• 20% of total tuition fee prior to start of flight training.
• 25% of total tuition fee prior to start of flight training phase 4.
• 25% of total tuition fee payable following the completion of training phase 4.
Should the study be discontinued, Tuition Fee not paid will be credited and Tuition Fee paid but not withdrawn from the accounting account will be refunded. The student only pays for training received/started.

Exam fees to the Civil Aviation Authorities, licensing and additional costs of final skill test, as well as aero-medical examination fees are not included in the price. These costs are approximately NOK 50.000,- NOK.
Become a pilot, step by step
1. Online admission test
The admission test for Pilot Flight Academy is conducted online through Cut-e, an Aon company. The test will take approximately two hours to complete.
2. Apply!
Upon passing the test, you will be sent the application forms by the academy.
The admission test is valid for a year, however, in order to secure a place on the programme, you must complete and submit the application within 14 days.
3. Enrolment fee
Your enrollment will be confirmed upon payment of the enrollment fee of NOK 15.000 to Pilot Flight Academy's account, along with your acceptance of Pilot Flight Academy's terms and conditions and filled out Application form.
4. Medical Examination
Pilot Flight Academy requires a Norwegian or Swedish EASA Class 1 medical certificate. All accepted candidates need to, as soon as possible, arrange an appointment for the EASA Class 1 medical examination for commercial pilots. The Class 1 medical must be obtained before starting the programme.
