Do you want to become a pilot for Widerøe or SAS?
During the spring of 2024, Widerøe and SAS will together hire over 40 new cadets from Pilot Flight Academy. By applying for a study place now, you’ll get a unique opportunity to go straight into one of the airlines after completing your education with us.
Students who start their pilot training with us in autumn 2022 and spring 2023 will be potential candidates for both cadet programs. To become a part of the programme, you must have completed the theoretical part of our pilot pogramme and participate in a selection process carried out by AAP Aviation (AAP) based on the airline criteria.
To start your education at Pilot Flight Academy, you must:
• be between 18-33 years of age;
• completed secondary school education;
• hold a valid Norwegian or Swedish EASA Class 1 medical certificate before the start of the studies;
• have a minimum height of 150 cm and maximum height of 200 cm*;
• pass our admission test.
*If you are between 150-160 cm or 190-200 cm, you must visit Pilot Flight Academy to do a sit-in test in the our aircraft.
International students must have a valid student visa for Norway or be able to obtain this. More information about this can be found at www.udi.no.
Employers within the aviation industry will require a clean criminal record check. If you have any questions regarding this, contact the Norwegian CAA.
The admission test costs NOK 500. Once this has been paid, you will be sent a license code that you can use to log in and take the test.
